India Vs Australia 2nd T20 International: India has made an impressive start in the first game of the five match series of the shortest format against the ODI World Cup 2023 champions, Australia.
The new Indian team led by a new skipper has won the first T20 International match in Vishakapatam by two wickets. Surya and his men also lead the series by a margin of one nil.
India didn’t bowl that well and the batters also didn’t contribute in the first match. Australia’s batters amassed 208 runs and Josh Inglis slammed a century.
The Aussie wicket-keeper scored 110 runs from just 50 deliveries. But it was the knock from the new T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav which allowed India to win this match. Ishan Kishan and Rinku Singh also played a vital part in this victory.
India will want their bowlers to hit the right lengths and pick up early wickets in the powerplay overs. The home side will also want a solid contribution from their batters like Gaikwad, Tilak, Jaiswal and Axar.
These batsmen failed to deliver in the tough run chase. With the T20 World Cup 2024 is around the corner, India will want their batters in great form.
The Aussies on the other hand will look to repeat their batting heroics again in Trivandrum. But they will want to forget their bowling from the Vizag T20 International match.
Josh Inglis was the star batter for the Baggy Green side and their bowlers also picked up early wickets and still they couldn’t restrict or bundle India out cheaply before they reached that score.
Australia will look for an improve performance in the second game tomorrow and level the series to two all. Their batters will again pose a threat for India in the 2nd match as well as they did it in the first match.
Jason Beherendorff and Nathan Ellis were the pick of the Aussie bowlers from the last match and they will have to perform well in the 2nd match as well.
