Deepak Sharma

WI Vs IND 1st ODI: After the two-match series of the red ball format is done and dusted, India and West Indies will lock horns in the three-match series of the fifty-over format.

The men in blue side will want to prepare well for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Rohit and co will also play a three-match series against The Aussies and ODI Asia Cup 2023 as well.

But West Indies who haven’t qualified for the ODI ICC mega event in India, will look to make a men’s mark in this One Day International series, which will start from today at Kensington Oval at Barbados in Bridgetown.

All the ODI matches will start at 7 PM according to the Indian Standard Time, 1.30 PM GMT and 9.30 AM Local Time.

Today, in this segment, we will mention the two classy Indian players who might get to their personal milestones in the first One Day International match against the home side, West Indies

1. Virat Kohli

India's Virat Kohli

The former Indian skipper will be the trump card of Team India in the upcoming series, Asia Cup 2023 and ODI 2023 World Cup. Virat has regained his lost form and he looks good before the main ICC event at home.

Virat is also the only player in the current side who was in the squad during the 2011 ODI World Cup which India won under MS Dhoni.

King Kohli has also scored his first overseas ton since 2018 in the second and the last red ball game against The Windies.

In the fifty overs format, Kohli needs to score more than 102 runs to be the fastest batter to get the milestone of 13,000 runs in the one-day intentional format.

2. Rohit Sharma

India's Rohit Sharma

The Indian skipper looked good in the two-match series of the red ball format. He had slammed a ton in the lone innings of the first Test match which the Indian Team had batted and he also scored two back-to-back half-centuries in the second Test match which ended in a draw.

Rohit needs to come good as the opening batter and skipper of India, especially with Asia Cup and World Cup around the corner. India will start their World Cup preparations from this fifty-over series against WI.

India had lost the last ODI series against Australia at home and Rohit had lost both matches as a captain. Hitman is near to score 10,000 runs in the ODIs. He needs 175 runs to get to this personal milestone in ODI Cricket history.
