Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's PA, Bibhav Kumar's bail plea in the alleged assault case with Swati Maliwal has been rejected.

He had filed the bail plea in the Tis Hazari Court, but Additional Sessions Judge Sushil Anuj Tyagi denied relief. It is now being said that he will appeal against this decision in the Delhi High Court.

Bibhav Kumar is accused of assaulting Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's residence in Delhi on May 13th.

Maliwal claimed that she suffered injuries to her arms and faced difficulty in walking after the assault.

Following allegations against Bibhav Kumar and his subsequent arrest, various accusations were directed towards Swati Maliwal from the Aam Aadmi Party. During this time, discussions also arose regarding whether Swati Maliwal would resign from her position as a Rajya Sabha MP. It was also speculated that if she resigns, Aam Aadmi Party could nominate Abhishek Manu Singhvi to the Rajya Sabha in her place.

In a recent interview with ANI, Swati Maliwal stated, "I have no desire to remain a Member of Parliament. If people lovingly tell me to resign, I would resign in any case. I don't think I am tied to any position. I think I have done a lot of work and I can continue to work even without holding any position." She further added, "The way I have been attacked and beaten, no matter how powerful the world may be, I will not resign under any circumstances."
