Delhi: One Lakh MCD Employees will go on Strike, BJP on Target

The employees of North and East Delhi Municipal Corporation have not received salary and pension for the last three months.

Municipal elections (Delhi MCD Polls 2022) are to be held in the capital of Delhi early next year. Meanwhile, the corporation employees will go on strike demanding the implementation of salary, pension, and DA allowance, which can cause trouble for the BJP. Some services may be affected due to this strike today i.e. on 13th December, because the one lakh employees who will protest today include people from all departments.

In fact, the employees of North and East Delhi Municipal Corporation have not received salary and pension for the last three months. At the same time, the DA allowance increased by the central government was also not implemented.

Corporation Administration is not ready to take any concrete action except assurance

Let us tell you that more than 1 lakh employees are becoming a part of this strike. The Confederation of MCD Employees Union, which raises the voice of Group A, B, C, D, and pensioners of Delhi Municipal Corporation, has announced this strike.

On Friday, the union informed that a two-hour-long discussion of all the constituents of the Confederation with the Mayor and the Corporation Administration was inconclusive because the Corporation Administration is not ready to take any concrete action except assurance.

At the same time, in today's situation, employees without orders and without salary, pension and DA are feeling cheated. So, they will hold a protest on Monday 13th December, this will be done at the Corporation Headquarters Civic Center.

Due to the strike, the paperwork in the hospital, maintenance, horticulture, and other departments will be closed. Meanwhile, Confederation's Convenor Aslam Parvez said that only assurance is being given by the corporation.

Also, the central government should end the problems of the corporations by giving two and a half thousand crores once. The corporation and the Delhi government only blaming each other.
