Delhi Rape Case: Delhi Officer Sexually Assaulted Friend's Daughter, His Wife Gave Her Abortion Pills

Delhi Rape Case: On Monday, a senior employee from the Women and Child Development department was detained on suspicion of raping his friend's 14-year-old daughter over the course of several months and getting her pregnant.

The girl is now 17 years old. the official's wife is also detained suspected of giving the survivor abortion pills.

On the directive of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the representative of the Delhi government has also been suspended.

Her father passed away on October 1, 2020, After that the survivor, a Class 12 student in Delhi, moved in with the accused, Premoday Khakha, and his family.

Premoday Khakha works as the WCD department's deputy director. She used to refer to him as "mama" (her maternal uncle), while he served as her local guardian.

Along with charging the accused and his wife with rape in violation of the POCSO Act, Delhi Police has also filed a FIR against them. His wife is also accused of giving the woman drugs to end the pregnancy.

In response to the complainant, a FIR has reportedly been filed under the Pocso Act, according to DCP (north) Sagar Singh.

"The survivor claimed that she moved in with a family friend who served as her guardian in the months from October 2020 to February 2021 when her father passed away.

She was being cared for and guarded over by her uncle, who sexually harassed, physically assaulted, and repeatedly raped her at his home. The victim began experiencing episodes of anxiety and was recently admitted to a hospital, according to the police.

He stated that the girl disclosed the sexual abuse to the medical professionals after receiving intensive counselling.

She reported panic attacks after having her pregnancy terminated by the accused and his wife. A medical examination was performed, and an inquiry is ongoing, according to DCP Singh.
