DMRC Celebrates 30th Foundation Day, Botanical Garden Awarded Best Metro Station

Since Independence

DMRC celebrated its 30th Foundation Day on May 3 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. During this event, Botanical Garden Metro Station was recognized as the Best Metro Station, and Shastri Park Depot was honoured with the Best Metro Depot award.

Officials reported that over 70 employees of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) have won the annual Managing Director's Award for their exceptional contributions over the past year.

Additionally, Senior Station Manager Priti Kumari won the 'Metro Woman of the Year' award, and the 'Metro Man of the Year' award was given to Head Traffic Controller Mohammad Abdussueb Ahamad.

Additionally, a special award was given to Senior Station Manager Gopesh Kumar Verma for his contributions to the use and promotion of Raj Bhasha.

The list of awardees also includes Assistant Security Manager Vijendra Singh. In fact, an incident of molestation had occurred at the Mandi House Metro Station, the details of which Vijendra Singh shared with the police. His cooperation significantly aided the police in resolving the case, which is why Vijendra Singh was also honoured with an award.

DMRC's Expansion Since 2002

It should be noted that DMRC launched its first corridor between Shahdara and Tis Hazari on December 25, 2002. Currently, the Delhi Metro network extends across approximately 392.44 kilometers.
