Schools to Reopen in Delhi from November 9 as Air Quality Improves, WFH also Ends

Delhi Pollution: The air in Delhi has seen an improvement today on 07 November. Due to the relief in pollution, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has decided to lift the ban under GRAP 4.

Delhi Pollution: The air in Delhi has seen an improvement today on 07 November. Due to the relief in pollution, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has decided to lift the ban under GRAP 4. He announced that there will no longer be a ban on the entry of trucks and small goods carriers in Delhi.

The decision to work from home in Delhi has also been withdrawn. Now the government and private offices will continue to work at full strength as before. Apart from this, the CNG bus service will also continue to run in Delhi.

Delhi Pollution: Ban on outdoor activities in schools will continue

The Environment Minister has announced that primary schools will be able to open from December 09. However, the ban on outdoor activities in schools will continue for now.

In the previous instructions, the schools up to class 8 were directed to remain closed till November 08.

There have been only some relief in pollution, due to which all the restrictions have not been lifted yet. The ban on construction works in Delhi will continue for now.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the Average Air Quality Index (AQI) of NCR has improved for the third consecutive day on 07 November.

The AQI of Delhi has been recorded at 326 today (Monday) morning of 7 November, which was recorded 339 on the previous day.

According to the Meteorological Department, the change in the direction of the winds has brought relief from pollution.
