Coldest Morning in Delhi: The bitter cold is making life difficult in North India including Delhi. An alert has been issued in the capital Delhi for the next three days. Lodhi Road temperature in Delhi was 2.8 degree Celsius on Thursday morning, which was the lowest temperature of this season.

Visibility has also been low due to early morning fog, the effect of which was seen on the roads. Due to the low speed of vehicles, there was a jam situation at many places.

Amidst the severe cold, people are trying to keep themselves warm by lighting bonfires. The Meteorological Department has also said that cold overdose will continue with dense to very dense fog in North and Northwest India for the next 4-5 days.

In 2021, the minimum temperature in Delhi had reached 1.1 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, on January 6 and 7, the winter will increase further and due to this, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.

Earlier on Wednesday, Noida's temperature was 5 degrees while Amritsar's temperature was 2 degrees Celsius. It was minus 3 degrees Celsius in Shimla and 6 degrees Celsius in Lucknow. The temperature was recorded at 3 degrees in Churu, Rajasthan.

Earlier on Wednesday, Delhi was colder than many areas of the hill state of Uttarakhand. Dehradun and Nainital's temperature was warmer than Delhi.

The Meteorological Department says that the cold will increase for the next 3 days in the whole of North India including Delhi.

Meanwhile, pollution is also troubling the people of Delhi. The AQI of Delhi continues to be above 300. The double attack of cold and pollution is more fatal for asthma patients and children.
