HP: Giri River Swells After Cloudburst in Sirmaur, Alarming Waves Raise Concerns

Cloudburst in Sirmaur: Heavy rains have created havoc in the northern states of the country. In this sequence, the situation is worsening due to cloudbursts in many areas in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh.

This has led to a significant rise in the water level of Giri River, resulting in flooding. The surging waves of the river indicate that the situation there has worsened.

Giri River has taken a fierce form. Continuous rainfall in Uttarakhand has turned into a disaster for the people.

Cloudburst in Sirmaur: Rainfall and Landslides Disrupt Travel in HP

Rainfall has occurred in various places across the state, including Shimla, and landslides in some areas have led to road closures.

NH-5 leading to Shimla remains closed, and a total of 379 roads are blocked for traffic, with efforts underway to reopen them.
