Jammu and Kashmir: Suspicious Bag with IED Found on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway, Bomb Disposal Squad Defused

A suspicious bag was discovered on the Srinagar-Baramulla highway, in the Pattan area of Baramulla district, Northern Kashmir. The authorities promptly responded to the situation.

As a precautionary measure, traffic on the route was temporarily suspended. The bomb disposal squad was called to the scene.

Upon inspection, the bomb disposal squad found an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) inside the suspicious bag.

They safely neutralized the IED by moving it to a secure location. Officials confirmed that the highway has been reopened for traffic.
