Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has been arrested in connection with the investigation of a money laundering case. A special court has sent him to ED custody till March 3.

Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik has been arrested in connection with the investigation of a money laundering case. A special court has sent him to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody till March 3. The investigation is related to the activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his associates in the Mumbai underworld. After Malik's arrest, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded his resignation from the post of minister. Maharashtra BJP will hold a statewide protest tomorrow demanding the resignation of Minister of State and NCP leader Nawab Malik.

In this regard, former Maharashtra Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that the entire Maharashtra government is standing behind him to save the country's enemy like Dawood, through which he got help; government will have to answer regarding this. Nawab Malik bought land worth crores with the help of the underworld. After a detailed investigation, in this case, the ED court has sent Nawab Malik to ED custody till March 3.

He said that if the politicians will be in direct contact with the underworld then the ED will have to conduct such a probe. All political parties should support it. Dawood Ibrahim's terror funding was done inside India through such types of deals.

The 1992 bomb blast case went on for many years in the court, in which many people were hanged and punished. The name of Nawab Malik did not appear anywhere in that case. However, on Friday, our ministers and our workers will protest in the entire taluka near the effigy of Gandhi Ji located near Mantralaya. Minister Nawab Malik has not done anything wrong so his resignation will not be accepted. The central government is taking such steps in order to destabilise the MVA government.
