Maharashtra Polls: The excitement surrounding the Maharashtra Assembly elections is intensifying. Political parties are busy strengthening their political alliances.
Meanwhile, the deadline for withdrawing nominations ended on Monday (November 4) at 3 PM. No candidate can withdraw their nomination at this point.
As a result, 8,272 candidates remain in the fray for the 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly.
According to the Election Commission, a total of 10,900 candidates had filed nominations for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra this time.
Of these, 1,654 nominations were canceled, while 9,260 were accepted. Additionally, 983 candidates withdrew their nominations.
After all these developments, 8,272 candidates are left, whose fates will be determined on November 20 when the votes are cast using EVMs.
Mahim Seat: This seat will witness a triangular contest among Sada Sarvankar from the Eknath Shinde faction, Amit Thackeray from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), and Mahesh Sawant from the Shiv Sena UBT.
Anushakti Nagar: In this constituency, Sana Malik from the NCP Ajit Pawar faction, Fahad Ahmad from the NCP Sharad Pawar faction, and Avinash Rane from the Shiv Sena will be competing against each other in a triangular battle.
Mankhurd Shivajinagar: One of the hottest seats in Maharashtra, this constituency will see a triangular contest between Abu Azmi from the Samajwadi Party, Nawab Malik from the NCP Ajit Pawar faction, and Suresh Patil from the Shiv Sena.
Voting for all 288 Assembly seats in Maharashtra will take place on November 20, and the results will be declared on November 23. The deadline for withdrawing nominations ended on Monday.
