Maharashtra Train Shooting: A major incident is being reported from Palghar, Maharashtra. On the Jaipur-Mumbai train, a shooting occurred, resulting in the death of four people.

Among the deceased are an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and three passengers. The culprit behind the shooting is RPF Constable Chetan, who fired shots, leading to this tragic loss of lives.

The shooting incident took place between Borivali-Mira Road stations. Mumbai GRP personnel arrested the accused constable, and he was subsequently taken to Borivali Police Station. The accused jawan used his service weapon to carry out the firing.

The incident occurred in Coach B5 of the train at 5:23 AM this morning.

Questions are being raised about why he was assigned duty in such a condition. Meanwhile, postmortems will be conducted on the bodies of the deceased, which are currently placed at Borivali Railway Station.
