Petrol Pump Strike in Rajasthan Concludes Following Talks with Government

Petrol Pump Strike in Rajasthan: The Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association (RPDA) withdrew their strike on Monday. They had called for a strike demanding a reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel, which was lifted after negotiations with the government. The association has lifted its strike from 6 a.m. on March 11.

The Jaipur District Petroleum Dealers Association issued a press release stating that the strike in the district was organized in response to dealers' demands under the RPDA.

All dealers in the Jaipur district participated in the strike, which was deemed successful.

Government and Association Hold Hour-Long Discussion

The government and the association held an hour-long discussion. The association stated that the government called a meeting on Sunday at 12 p.m. In this meeting, RPDA executive members Rajendra Singh Bhati, Suneet Bagai, Vijay Meena, Jaipur district president Ladu Singh, Secretary Amit Saraogi, and Jaipur dealer Sandeep Bhardwaj were present.

Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Provides Reassurance

Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, along with Anandhi, Secretary of Information Technology and Communication, and officials from the Finance Department, were present during the discussion.

The conversation lasted for about an hour and remained entirely positive. Rajyavardhan Singh assured that the government would take positive steps to address demands.
