Former Rajasthan Minister Rajendra Gudha is facing mounting challenges as the Rajasthan Police initiated an investigation against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The police reached Gudha's official residence to question him about an old case. However, he was not present at his home at the time. Instead, the police conducted the inquiry with his staff.
It is worth noting that Rajendra Gudha, a former minister in the Rajasthan government, has been in the spotlight recently regarding his red diary.
Earlier on Wednesday (August 02), he made some pages of the red diary public, leading to discussions and debates.
Following allegations of harassment against women within his own government, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot removed him from his ministerial position.
The tensions between Gudha and the Chief Minister escalated after his removal from the ministry. He expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that he had supported the Gehlot government during the critical time.
Gudha had contested the elections on a BSP ticket and later merged his party with the Congress. He asserted that he spoke out against injustice and had no affiliations with Sachin Pilot's camp.
Gudha further stated that he was being penalized for speaking the truth and that the youth of the state are disheartened.
He denied any involvement in paper leaks and maintained his stand against injustice.
The inquiry under the POCSO Act adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding political situation surrounding Rajendra Gudha.
