Rajasthan: PM Modi to Inaugurate Greenfield Express Highway in Bikaner During July 8 Visit

PM Modi's Visit to Bikaner: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Bikaner on 8th July. Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal gave this information.

During his Bikaner tour, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various development works done by the Central Government. The Prime Minister will participate in the program organized at Norangdesar near the Green Express Highway near Bikaner.

The Prime Minister will dedicate the Greenfield Express Highway to the nation during his program. This 6 lane highway starts from Amritsar in Punjab and covers a total distance of 1316 km till Jamnagar in Gujarat.

The total cost of this highway is Rs 20,868 crore. This highway is an important green field project connecting 4 states i.e. Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat.

This project connects industrial centres like Amritsar, Bathinda, Sanaria, Bikaner, Sanchore, Samakhiali, and Jamnagar. This will speed up economic development in all areas of western Rajasthan.

This expressway will pass through Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Barmer, and Jalore districts after passing through the north-western border of Rajasthan.

Infrastructure Development at its Peak

In addition to this, under the Bharatmala Yojana, two road projects will be dedicated to the nation. The first project is the Raisingh Nagar-Anupgarh-Pugal stretch, which is 162.46 kilometres long and has been constructed at a cost of INR 860.26 crore.

The second project is the Khajuwala-Pugal-Bap stretch, which is 212 kilometres long and has been constructed at a cost of INR 895 crore.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Green Energy Corridor, a power transmission project undertaken by the Power Grid Corporation of India.

This corridor, stretching from Banaskantha in Gujarat to Moga in Punjab, spans a distance of 1300 kilometres and was constructed at a cost of INR 26,000 crore. As a result of this initiative, the Bikaner region is progressing as a solar hub.

Inauguration of ESIC Hospital will also take place

The inauguration of the ESIC Hospital in the Antyodaya Nagar on the Jaisalmer Road in Bikaner city will also take place during Prime Minister's program in Naurangdesar.

This hospital, with a capacity of one hundred beds, has been completed and is ready for operation. The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, has constructed this hospital at a cost of INR 41.15 crore. The existing 30-bed hospital will be expanded to accommodate 100 beds.

Lot of enthusiasm among the BJP leaders of Bikaner division

The BJP leaders in the Bikaner division are showing significant enthusiasm for the Prime Minister's visit to Bikaner. The inauguration of various central government projects by the Prime Minister will pave the way for new avenues of development in the entire Bikaner division, including Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Churu, and Jodhpur in Northwestern Rajasthan.

Central Minister Meghwal revealed that a large public rally will be held near Naurangdesar in Bikaner during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.

It is being considered as a significant political event for the BJP in Western Rajasthan ahead of the Assembly elections.

Prior to this, the Prime Minister has already addressed a rally in Ajmer. Similarly, his visit to Udaipur is planned after Bikaner.

Before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct for elections, the Prime Minister can hold separate rallies in various corners of the state. These rallies will be associated with the inauguration ceremonies of different projects.

In the last 9 months, Prime Minister Modi has visited Rajasthan 6 times starting from September 30, 2022, when he came to seek the blessings of Amba Mata. During that time he also visited Abu Road in Sirohi district.

  • On 1 November 2022, Modi visited Mangarh Dham in Banswara.

  • On January 8, 2023, the Prime Minister visited Bhilwara to participate in the celebrations of the birth anniversary of Lord Devnarayan, revered by the Gurjar community.

  • On February 12, 2023, he visited Dausa district for the inauguration of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

  • On May 10, 2023, he addressed large public meetings at Nathdwara and Abu Road.

  • On May 31, 2023, the Prime Minister launched the BJP's Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan (mass contact campaign) by addressing a public rally in Ajmer.
