Major Success for UP ATS, Foils Infiltration Attempt by Pakistani Terrorists via Nepal Route into India

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has achieved a significant success. Recently, the ATS apprehended three terrorists who were attempting to infiltrate into India via Nepal.

Among the apprehended terrorists are 2 Pakistani nationals and 1 Kashmiri terrorist affiliated with the Hizbul Mujahideen and ISI.

It has been reported to the UP ATS in recent days that Pakistani citizens, with the assistance of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI, were planning to enter India via Nepal.

The ATS also received information that these individuals intend to carry out terrorist activities in India and have received training at the Hizbul Mujahideen's training camps with the assistance of ISI.

Two Pakistanis and One Kashmiri

In a press release issued by the ATS, it was revealed that following the receipt of intelligence, surveillance was conducted by the Gorakhpur unit of the ATS.

It was discovered that two Pakistani individuals were clandestinely entering India from the border village of Sheikhpura in Nepal. On April 3, the Gorakhpur unit of the ATS apprehended three suspects from the Nepal-India border at Sonauli.

The arrested individuals are identified as Mohammad Altaf Bhat, Sayyed Gajanfar, and Nasir Ali. Mohammad Altaf Bhat hails from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, while Sayyed Gajanfar is a resident of Islamabad, Pakistan. On the other hand, Nasir Ali is from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

After the arrest of all three accused, ATS seized 2 mobile phones, 2 memory cards, 3 passports, 7 debit and credit cards, 3 Aadhar cards, 2 flight tickets, Pakistani driving license, Pakistani national identity card, as well as currencies from Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and America.

It is worth mentioning that the Uttar Pradesh ATS has also shared the images of the arrested three accused Mohammad Altaf Bhat, Sayyed Gajanafar, and Nasir Ali.
