UP: Stone Pelting and Turmoil During Lord Ram's Procession in Kushinagar, Unrest in Azamgarh as Well

On January 22, Lord Ram's idol was ceremoniously installed at the magnificent Ram Temple in Ayodhya, sparking immense enthusiasm among devotees worldwide.

People expressed their devotion in various ways, reflecting their deep reverence for the deity. Meanwhile, in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, chaos ensued during the grand procession of Lord Ram.

Disruptive elements resorted to stone-pelting, leading to a tumultuous situation. Some Ram devotees suffered injuries in the stone pelting.

This incident escalated tensions between two communities. However, timely intervention by the police helped bring the situation under control.

Stones Thrown, Bike Damaged

The entire incident took place in the jurisdiction of Kasaya police station in the Bazar Tola area, where a grand procession was being carried out by hundreds of people on the occasion of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple the previous day.

During this procession, a dispute arose between two groups over bursting firecrackers. As the disagreement escalated, some unruly elements from the opposing community started pelting stones at the procession.

In the stone-pelting, a bike was damaged, and several youths sustained injuries. The situation became chaotic for a while.

Upon receiving information, a significant police force arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control. ASP Kushinagar Ritesh Kumar Singh informed that the police had detained four individuals.

The atmosphere is being pacified, and legal action is being taken in the matter.

Unrest in Azamgarh as Well

There was unrest in Azamgarh as well. In the Jahanagunj area under the jurisdiction of Azamgarh's police station, a clash occurred between two communities during a procession.

There was a lot of sloganeering and the police somehow controlled the situation. People from the other community had sticks and batons in their hands.
