UP: Three Arrested for Selling Fake Liquor with Branded Labels

An alarming case of illegal liquor production has emerged from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Criminals were found mixing chemicals and urea to manufacture fake liquor, which they then labelled with major brand names for smuggling.

An alarming case of illegal liquor production has emerged from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. Criminals were found mixing chemicals and urea to manufacture fake liquor, which they then labelled with major brand names for smuggling.

When the police got wind of this operation, they busted the gang and arrested three individuals. A significant quantity of counterfeit liquor bottles, empty bottles, caps, wrappers, and a car were seized from the scene.

The Bilaspur and Bhot police stations in Rampur district recovered a large quantity of illegal liquor. The police arrested three culprits on the spot.

According to the police, illegal liquor was being manufactured in a village under the Bhot police station. Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the location and uncovered the illegal liquor operation. The accused were making around ₹2 lakh profit per crate.

Three Arrested, Two Escape

During the raid, two individuals managed to escape while three were arrested by the police. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi stated that there were reports indicating the sale of illegal liquor under different brand labels in the district.

Additional SP and CO Bilaspur were directed to take action. In response, Bilaspur police and Bhot police raided a village and arrested three people along with the illegal liquor.

Fake Liquor, Equipment, and Vehicle Confiscated

At the scene, police discovered several crates and bottles of liquor marked with the Soldier brand label. They also recovered equipment including a sprinter, five litres of caramel, caps, one kilogram of urea, and a Honda City car.

The Superintendent of Police stated that action is being taken against the accused under the Excise Act.
