10 Suzuki Gixxer Added To Mumbai Police’s Fleet

Mumbai Police welcomes 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 to its fleet. With some changes in physical appearance, the bikes are deployed to patrol in Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police receives 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 from Suzuki Motorcyle India. These bikes came to Mumbai Police under Suzuki's  CSR initiative. These new motorcycles would be employed to patrol in streets of Mumbai, ensuring city's safety. This is not first time when Suzuki delivers bikes to police, Gurugram police added 10 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 last year. Surat Police also deployed Suzuki motorcycles to patrol in Surat.

Under Corporate Social Responsiblility, Suzuki has been supplying motorcycles to various departments on regular basis.

About Suzuki Gixxer SF 250:

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is sports bike and has 2 variants in India. The lowest version costs ₹1,76,668 (ex-showroom) and the top model is available at 1,77,469 (ex-showroom). It comes with a powerful 248 CC engine which capable of generating 26.1 bhp of power and 22.2 nm of torque. With its 6-speed manual gearbox it can roll at 150 kmph. It has 2-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The Gixxer SF 250 packs an all-new 249cc 4-valve SOHC single-cylinder oil-cooled unit.

The Suzuki  Gixxer SF 250 delivered to Mumbai Police do not have much changes from its regular model. However there are some easily visible changes which were necessary as they are for Police. In order to equip essentials of police officers, bike has been provided with some extra accessories.

Changes in physical appearance for Mumbai Police:

A massive windscreen in front with a decal which reads Police. These decals are also there on the fuel tank and side pannier. This 15-litre bike in white color has been added by Mumbai Police.

There motorcyles have appeared with beacon lights in front side of the bike. A red beacon on the right handlebar and a blue beacon on the left handlebar is seen.

It also has siren poles at the rear which are blue in color.
