In Chandigarh on Tuesday i.e. today, BJP will conduct election churning. For this, Punjab BJP in-charge Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat is also reaching Chandigarh. All the senior leadership of Punjab has been called here, from whom discussions will be held regarding the electoral stakes in Punjab in the current situation.
This meeting is important because for the first time after the withdrawal of the Agriculture Act, BJP will make a new strategy. PM Narendra Modi has announced the withdrawal of the agriculture law a few days back. Recently, the Kartarpur Corridor has been opened between India and Pakistan, whose credit is also being taken by the Punjab BJP.
Till now in Punjab, the BJP was facing opposition from the farmers. The return of agricultural laws has not yet been legalized. The farmers are engaged in the movement. However, the situation is not clear about whether there will be opposition to the BJP in Punjab after the announcement. But farmers are now demanding guarantee law and some other demands on MSP. This will also be discussed in the meeting.
Even before this, the in-charge and co-in-charge of Punjab have held a meeting with the state leadership. After that 'Nawa Punjab, BJP De Naal' campaign was also started. However, due to the farmers' agitation, the BJP could not start campaigning in Punjab. But even then he had to face the protest of the farmers in Chandigarh.
After breaking the alliance with the Akali Dal, Contesting the assembly elections alone on 117 seats in Punjab for the first time. In such a situation, the challenge of BJP regarding Punjab is big. However, the BJP also has the option of Captain Amarinder Singh, who is ready to tie up his new Punjab Lok Congress Party with the BJP after the withdrawal of the agriculture law and will contest the seat-sharing elections. But till now there has been no talk and no decision on this.
