India beat England in the fourth Test to take a 2-1 lead in the five-Test series. Team India beat England by 157 runs in the Oval Test. England needed 291 runs in the final day's play, while India needed the full 10 wickets. After taking two wickets in the first session, the Indian bowlers did not give the hosts a chance to return by taking 6 wickets one after the other in the second session and the team was successful in winning the match.

With the victory at the Oval, now the chances of Team India winning the Test series in England after 14 years are also visible. After the memorable win at The Oval, all the players have said something or the other. India won after 50 years at the Oval

After 50 years, the Indian team was able to win a Test match at The Oval. Earlier, under the captaincy of Ajit Wadekar, the Indian team had defeated England by 4 wickets in 1971. Also, this is the first time since 1986 that the Indian team has been successful in winning two Test matches on a tour of England.

The final match of the series between India and England will now be played on the Manchester ground from September 10. If the Manchester Test is a draw or Team India is successful in winning, then after the year 2007, India will be able to win the Test series in England.
