Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru of the Sikhs, was born in 1469 at a place named Rai Bhoi ki Talwandi (Rai Bhoi di Talwandi), which is now in Nankana Sahib, located in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The name of this place is derived from the name of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. There is also a very famous Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, which is considered a famous religious place of Sikhs.
