Union minister's Convoy Attacked

In fact, many Union ministers and BJP leaders are going to Bengal to encourage their workers. Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan was going to his house to meet a BJP worker in West Midnapore today. Just then, his convoy has been attacked with sticks on the way. During this, the glass of his vehicles broke.

The four-member team formed to investigate Bengal violence

The Union Home Ministry has formed a four-member team to investigate the causes of the alleged violence in West Bengal after the elections and take stock of the ground situation in the state. Officials said on Thursday that the team, headed by an additional secretary of the ministry, has left for West Bengal.

The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday asked the West Bengal government to submit a detailed report of post-election violence in the state and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents "without wasting time". The ministry had warned the state government that if the state government fails to do so, the matter will be taken "seriously". Till Tuesday, at least six people have died in post-election violence in various parts of the state.

BJP accuses TMC supporters

The BJP has alleged that Trinamool Congress-backed "goons" killed party workers, attacked female members, ransacked their homes, looted shops, and set offices ablaze.

BJP president JP Nadda had met members of violence-affected families in Bengal on Wednesday and claimed that at least 14 BJP workers have been killed in Bengal in the post-election violence that close to a lakh people have left their homes Have been forced to leave.
