Mamata did not Implement Schemes like Ayushman Bharat or Kisan Samman Nidhi

Now that poor and laborers can get government ration while living in any part of the country, the Central Government announced this scheme on Thursday, now it has started opposing it too.

Nidhi Hakla

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's confrontation with the Modi government at the Center is well known.  Mamata did not implement schemes like Ayushman Bharat or Kisan Samman Nidhi related to public welfare due to political profit and loss in Bengal.  Now that poor and laborers can get government ration while living in any part of the country, the Central Government announced this scheme on Thursday, now it has started opposing it too.  The Mamta government of Bengal has clearly stated that it will not implement the 'One Nation, One Ration Card' scheme announced by the Center.

BJP leaders have raised the question about the decision that what is the problem with the Mamta government with the 'one nation, one ration card' scheme?  Lakhs of people go to different states of the country for wages and jobs.  If they will get ration in Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra from the ration card, then why is Mamata government doing politics?  Why are people being denied the benefits of central government schemes?  Earlier, people of the state have been deprived of Ayushman Bharat and Kisan Samman Nidhi and are now intent on doing away with 'One Nation, One Ration Card'.

Let us tell you that the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced the introduction of 'One Nation, One Ration Card'.  The project will be launched from August.  The Union Finance Minister has claimed that 83 percent ration consumers of 23 states will take benefit from it.  Apart from this, Nirmala Sitharaman also announced that all migrant workers will be provided free grain for the next two months.  Migrant workers who do not have ration cards will also be given 5 kg of wheat or rice per person and 1 kg of pulses per month.  They will also be given this service for 2 months.
