Mamata’s Mango Diplomacy: Mamata sent Mangoes to Modi and Amit Shah

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sent mangoes to Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders.

The sweetness of the mango is melting between Mamata Banerjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who have been continuously making sharp statements against each other since the Bengal assembly elections. Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has sent mangoes to Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders. This is being called Mamta's Mango Diplomacy.

Mamata Banerjee has sent Bengal's famous Him Sagar, Laxman Bhog and Malda mangoes to politicians. Mamata started this tradition 10 years ago in 2011, when she became the Chief Minister of Bengal for the first time.

Apart from Modi and Shah, Mamata has also sent mangoes to President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Last year, Narendra Modi talked about his relationship with Mamta Banerjee in an interview given to Akshay Kumar. Said that Mamta and I are electoral competitors, but we have a very good relationship. Didi herself chooses kurtas for me and sends every year. She knows that I like Bengali sweets and that's why she sends me sweets.

The dispute between the Center and Bengal on many issues

Even before the assembly elections, there is a tussle between the central government and Mamta Banerjee. In these, apart from the after-election violence in Bengal, sharp statements have often been made about the Narada scam, transfer of Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay.
