All is not well in Mahavikas Aghadi. The latest controversy has arisen after a statement by Shiv Sena leader and former Union Minister Anant Geete. He has said that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) was born out of the back of Congress. How can Shiv Sena become Congress when two Congress parties are not united?

Anant Geete further said that even if the government of Mahavikas Aghadi is formed at the Center and in the state, we cannot become Aghadi soldiers. We will remain Shiv Sainiks. However, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Geete's statement said that it is his personal opinion and not that of the party.

Pawar cannot be our guru

Geete said Shiv Sainiks should not think about the front (alliance). Just take care of your home. It is just a compromise for power. Sharad Pawar cannot be the guru of Shiv Sainiks. Geete said these things among Shiv Sena workers at a program in Raigad.

Government is ours, but Congress-NCP is not ours

Geete said that this government is ours because the Chief Minister is ours, but the Congress-NCP is not ours. This is a coalition government. Not Shiv Sena. The government will take the lead. The leaders of the ruling front will take over. It is the responsibility of you, me, and Shiv Sainiks to take care of the village. Don't think about leading in doing so.

Our leader is only Balasaheb Thackeray

Geete said that no matter how big a leader one may call, no matter how many titles he may be given, but he cannot be our leader. Our leader is only Balasaheb Thackeray. The leaders of Aghadi will handle Aghadi, but we have to handle our Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti, and Zilla Parishad. We have to worry about our village and Shiv Sena, not Aghadi.

Shiv Sena's side by Geete's statement

After this statement of Anant Geete, Shiv Sena MP and spokesperson Sanjay Raut also came forward. He said that what Anant Geete has said, I do not know. All I will say is that Sharad Pawar is a big leader. He is the main pillar of the Maharashtra government. He further said that Anant Geete's statement may be his personal opinion, it is not the opinion of the party.

There is a joint government of Shiv Sena, Congress-NCP in Maharashtra. Despite this, it has happened many times that the leaders of the three parties have criticized each other many times. Many times leaders like Sharad Pawar, Sanjay Raut, and Ajit Pawar had to come forward and interfere in such matters.
