According to media reports, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is coming to Delhi today where he can meet BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah. At the same time, since then the political speculation has also intensified that he may join the BJP. The three leaders are likely to meet at 3.30 pm.

Captain Amarinder Singh resigned from his post this month after a rift with Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu. At the same time, after the resignation, Amarinder was continuously attacking the big leaders of Congress. Expressing pain, he said that he was insulted inside the party, after which he had decided to leave the post of Chief Minister. Amarinder Singh had even said that even if Congress wins the Punjab elections in 2022. He will not allow Navjot Singh Sidhu to become the CM.

Amarinder's media advisor rubbishes speculation

On the other hand, Captain Amarinder Singh's media advisor Raveen Thukral rubbished all speculations and said that a lot is being said about Captain Amarinder Singh's visit to Delhi. He is on a personal visit, during which he will meet some friends and will also vacate Kapurthala's house for the new CM. There is no need for unnecessary speculation.

After the resignation, Amarinder had said – all options are open

Significantly, when Captain resigned from the post, the media had asked him whether he would join the BJP? Then the Captain replied that all options are open after resigning. With 52 years of experience in politics and nine and a half years as Chief Minister, he has made many friends. They will make a decision on this after consulting their colleagues.

Anil Vij had invited to join BJP

Captain Amarinder Singh was invited by BJP leader and Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. After Amarinder's resignation, Anil Vij wrote that the nationalist Captain Amarinder Singh was an obstacle in his way, so he was killed politically. All the nationalist forces in Punjab should join hands to thwart the wrong designs of Congress.

Amarinder was in a tussle

Even before the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections, Amarinder was in a tussle with the Congress high command. At that time, Captain Nejat challenged Congress by forming the Mahasabha. During this, while giving a statement, the Captain had said that at that time he was thinking of joining the BJP.
