Terror Funding Case: NIA Raids across Jammu and Kashmir

National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting multiple raids across Jammu and Kashmir including Anantnag in connection with a terror funding case.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting multiple raids across Jammu and Kashmir including Anantnag in connection with a terror funding case. Meanwhile, the investigating agency is trying to find out whether the terrorists in the Valley are being funded by ISIS.

According to the news agency, NIA raids conducted at 4 places in Anantnag and one in Srinagar. So far, 5 people arrested in this case, including a 36-year-old woman. Security personnel of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF also involved in the NIA raids.

One arrested from Haka Bazar:

According to official, "NIA has tracked terror funding trails of both the persons who have been found involved in raising, receiving, collecting and transferring funds through hawala transactions for terror activities of Hizbul Mujahideen."

According to sources, NIA raided Darul Uloom, Dalal Mohalla, Nawabazar along with several officers of Police, SOG, SDPO on Sunday morning.

11 government employees dismissed:

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir administration on Saturday sacked 11 employees, including two sons of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin and two policemen, for helping terrorist organizations. The sacked employees belonged to education, police, agriculture, skill development, power, health departments and SKIMS (Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences) departments.

Meanwhile, Hizbul chief's sons Syed Ahmed Shakeel and Shahid Yusuf also dismissed from service for their alleged involvement in terror funding. According to the NIA, both used to inform terrorist organizations about the movement of security forces. Meanwhile, they used to help terrorists in carrying out secret activities.
