China's smartphone maker Xiaomi has made a separate strategy plan for the year 2020. This time the company's entire focus will be on its sub-brand Mi India. The company will work on fulfilling the demands made by the users this year. Earlier, the company strengthened its base by focusing its attention on the Redmi brand and now it is trying to make Mi India equally popular among users.

The company will be launching Mi-branded smart products this year. During this time, many other products including smart speakers, laptops can be launched under this brand. The company recently showcased the Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha. However, the company is not currently planning to launch it in India. At present, the company has not given any timeline to launch the product of Mi brand.

Under the new strategy, Mi is planning to launch many expensive or premium smartphones of the brand. Apart from this, the company is also considering expanding the smart-TV range. Raghu Reddy, head of Xiaomi India, has said that he will launch several premium flagship devices under the Mi brand. After their launch, the difference between Mi and Redmi will be quite clear.

Xiaomi stepped into India in 2014 with the Mi 3. After this, Mi 4 and Mi 5 were launched. However, their popularity did not increase according to the company. After this, when the company launched the Redmi series, the market of Mi decreased significantly. In such a situation, the company will focus more on the Mi brand and under this, smartphones worth more than Rs 20,000 will be launched. According to Counterpoint's data, the premium smartphone segment in India is growing rapidly. In such a situation, launching the phone in this segment will prove to be extremely beneficial for Xiaomi.
