Cyclone Jawad: Threat of Cyclonic Storm ‘Jawad’ Continues, Red Alert Issued in many Districts of Odisha

The threat of cyclonic storm Jawad is looming over Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, cyclonic storm Jawad can knock in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha by Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert warning of heavy rains in many districts of Odisha from December 3.

According to the Meteorological Department, the districts of South Odisha may also receive heavy rains on December 3. The Meteorological Department has said that due to this storm, water-logging conditions may arise on the roads, reducing visibility on the roads and damage to the unpaved roads. People have been asked to avoid leaving the house unnecessarily.

There will be rain in these districts of Odisha

We will be in a position to estimate the location and intensity of the cyclone crossing the coast only after it becomes a depression, said the Meteorological Department official. The Meteorological Department has said that the intensity of rain in Odisha will increase from Saturday as heavy to very heavy rains are likely over the coastal districts and interior districts.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur districts. An orange alert has been sounded in Kendrapara, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput districts on Saturday.

The storm will hit the coasts of Andhra and Odisha by Saturday

Giving information, the Meteorological Department said that the low pressure of cyclonic storms is now persisting in the Andaman Sea. After this, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and reach southeast and adjoining the central part of the Bay of Bengal on December 3.

After this, it is likely to hit the north Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coast on Saturday morning, December 4. At the same time, due to this low pressure, heavy to very heavy and very heavy rains are expected in the coastal areas of Odisha.
