Chandigarh: A Man Died After a Collision of Activa and Unknown Car

Due to Severe Head Injury, The Deceased Died During the Treatment

In the Sector-47, a speeding car hit a person on an activa, causing him to be badly injured. The police reached the spot on the information of the matter and admitted the injured to GMCH-32, where he died during the treatment. The deceased has been identified as Sector-47D resident Balram (40). Balram was wearing a helmet but due to a huge collision, the helmet got out of the head and he collided with the dividers. He died due to severe head injuries. The sector-31 police station has registered a case against the unknown and started looking for the car driver.

The incident is of last Sunday evening. The sector-46 resident eyewitness said Gursevak Singh said that he was posted as head constable in Chandigarh Police. His duty is in the IRB. He was walking near the house last evening. When approaching the contact center located in Sector-47, the unknown car hit a person with an activa. After the collision, the helmet got out of Balram's head and he collided with the divider. He got a severe head injury. The driver escaped with the car after the incident. After this, the matter was reported to the police. Police sent the injured to the hospital, but due to a severe head injury, he died during the treatment.

It was revealed in the police investigation that Balram was going from some work. When he reached to Sector-D, then an accident happened with him. At present, the police have handed over the dead body of the deceased to the family after the post mortem. At the same time, after the incident, the police has started exploring the CCTV footage located in the area and surrounding areas so that the accused car driver can be identified. Police say that the case is being scrutinized.
