A scooter rider died due to the collision of a speeding unknown car near Botanical Garden in Dhanas. The accident occurred when the person was returning home from Kisan Mandi after selling goods. Some people saw him in a tremendous condition on the road, and they gave the information to the police. The PCR reached the spot and took him to the PGI, where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Veeru Sharma (35), resident of Sarangpur village house number (154). Sarangpur Police Station filed a case against the unknown car driver and started looking for the accused.
The incident is of about 12.45 pm late on Sunday night. On the control room, it was reported that a road accident happened near Botanical Garden in Dhanas. Then the PCR and Sarangpur Police reached to the spot. The person was injured there while his helmet was there nearby. The police immediately rushed him to the hospital. Police registered a case on the basis of the statement of eyewitness Raghav Kumar, resident of Sector-37b. In the complaint given to the police, Raghav told that he works in the bakery. After returning from work, he was going to his house. In this one, he saw that a speedy unknown car hit the scooter and fled from there. Police investigation revealed that Viru Sharma used to work in the PGI and rather than this he also used to work in the Kisan Mandi besides to the sell popcorn. After the incident, the police took the scooter in custody and started the investigation. At the same time, the police started searching the CCTV cameras located in the area and nearby areas but the accused driver could not find anywhere. Police say that the driver will be identified and arrested soon.
The cases of the accident are growing steadily in the city. Three people have died due to the collision of an unknown vehicle in the last three days. But till now no police has reached to the accused in these road accidents.
