Israel-Hamas War: Amid the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel, several countries around the world have appealed for assistance to help the people of Gaza.

United States President Joe Biden had made an appeal to the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to open the border, allowing aid to reach the people in need.

As a result, around 20 trucks of humanitarian aid have already reached Gaza.

Now, India has also sent aid to the people of Palestine. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that India has dispatched humanitarian assistance to Palestine.

An Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft is en route to the El Arish International Airport in Egypt, carrying relief supplies.

This gesture from India comes as part of the global effort to provide much-needed aid and support to the people affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

India has sent approximately 6.5 tons of medical aid and 32 tons of disaster relief supplies to the people of Palestine through C-17 Globemaster aircraft.

This assistance includes essential life-saving medicines, surgical equipment, tents, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, hygiene services, water purification tablets, and various other items.

Israel-Hamas War: Aid is Being Delivered Through Rafah Border Crossing

This relief aid will be delivered to the Palestinians through the Rafah Border Crossing, located between Gaza and Egypt. Since the recent Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip, the daily lives of the people there have been severely impacted, with struggles for basic necessities such as food, water, medicine, and essential items.

Last Saturday i.e. on October 21, the first truck of relief supplies arrived in Gaza, and since then, approximately 20 trucks have reached the area.

Hamas has reported that these trucks have brought medicines, medical supplies, and limited food provisions to address the pressing needs of the people.

Prior to this, US President Biden had met Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu. During their meeting, the US President had expressed the intention to provide assistance to the people of Gaza.

After Biden's appeal, Netanyahu had agreed to send relief supplies to Gaza, subject to certain conditions. The key condition was that the the trucks carrying the supplies would not be armed.

Subsequently, the United States had reached out to the President of Egypt, appealing to open the Rafah Crossing Border.
