Recently, there have been two distressing incidents concerning Hindu temples in Pakistan.

On one hand, the historic Mari Maata temple, which held emotional significance for the Hindu community as it was 150 years old, was demolished.

On the other hand, another temple faced an attack by dacoits using a rocket, causing concern among the Hindu minority. These incidents have sparked questions and raised concerns about the safety and security of the Hindu community in Pakistan.

Incident 1:150-year-old Hindu temple was vandalised in Soldier Bazaar in Karachi

Late on Friday night, without any electricity around, the demolition took place. At that point, the bulldozers and diggers showed there to complete the task.

According to media sources, they vandalised the whole interior construction but left the exterior walls and the front gate standing.

"Residents reportedly claimed to have seen a police car there to provide 'cover' for the people using the bulldozers and other machinery stated in a story" in the English newspaper Dawn from Pakistan

It is a very old Temple, said Shri Ram Nath Mishra Maharaj of Shri Panch Mukhi Hanuman Mandir, another old temple close by.

"It is said to have been built more than 150 years ago," he added. We have also heard tales of ancient valuables buried in its courtyard," they continued, adding that it was close to 400 to 500 square yards in size and that dacoits had been keeping an eye on it for some time.

Incident 2: Group of Dacoits Attacked Hindu Temple

On July 16, a group of dacoits attacked a Hindu temple in Pakistan's Southern Sindh Province using rocket launchers. This was the second time in less than two days that a minority community's worship place had been vandalized.

In the Kashmore district of Sindh Province, the attackers targeted a modest temple constructed by the local Hindu population as well as nearby residences owned by members of the minority community.

According to the police officer, they used "rocket launchers" to attack the place of worship, which was shut down during the attack.

According to the police officer, the incident featured eight to nine gunmen. A member of the Bagri village named Dr. Suresh said that no lives were lost as a result of the dacoits' "rocket launchers" failing to go off.

He urged the police to safeguard the neighborhood, claiming that following the incident, the locals were in a state of fear.

SSP Samoo gave the Hindu community members his word that they would be safe. There is a Miniority Hindu population in the Kashmore region.

Days prior to the attack, dacoits in the Kashmore and Ghotki riverine regions had made threats against Hindu temples and locals regardimg Seema Haider Jakhrani's PUBG love story.
