These extremists, who once grew up within Pakistan, have now become a formidable threat like a 'monster' wreaking havoc in the country.

In the latest incident, TTP militants have carried out a fresh assault. Tragically, this attack targeted a security convoy in northwestern Pakistan, resulting in the loss of 9 soldiers' lives, while leaving 20 others wounded.

Security officials in Pakistan revealed that on Thursday (August 31), a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle targeted the convoy in the Bannu district, located in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the Afghan border.

ISPR Statement on Bannu District Attack

The media wing of the Pakistan Army, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), issued a statement regarding a tragic incident in which a suicide bomber, riding a motorcycle, detonated himself near a military convoy.

This act resulted in the loss of nine soldiers' lives, including Naib Subedar Sanobar Ali, while five soldiers sustained injuries.

According to the ISPR, the suicide bomber approached the military convoy and triggered the explosion in close proximity.

This devastating attack occurred in the Bannu district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, near the Afghanistan border.

The ISPR report also mentioned that security forces have cordoned off the area and are undertaking operations to eliminate the terrorists responsible for this attack.
