Banaskantha police say that the victim's son had married a girl from outside her caste, after which the panchayat excluded the woman and her entire family from the caste. These accused told the victim that they would once again include her family in the caste. On this excuse, the woman was called and then raped.

Police say that the age of the accused is around 65 years and both are absconding at this time. He has been identified as Ranchod Bhai Sutar and Vajol Bhai Sutar. The victim is 50 years old. Sub Inspector MB Deora said that the accused are senior members of the carpenter community, the victim also comes from this community. Police say that the victim presented an audio clip in which the accused are heard blackmailing the woman. Police will use this voice of the accused as evidence.
