The festival of Bakrid is celebrated by the people of the Muslim religion after 70 days of Mithi Eid i.e. Eid ul Fitr. Eid ul Adha is celebrated with traditional fervour in India and around the world. During Eid ul Adha, Muslims gather in the Idgah or Mosque and offer 2 Rakats of Namaz with the Jamaat. This prayer is usually held in the morning.
In 2021, Bakrid will be celebrated in India on 21 July. Eid ul-Adha is the 12th and last month of the Islamic calendar. This was announced on Sunday by the Naib Shahi Imam of Delhi Jama Masjid, Syed Shaban Bukhari.
Namaz is first offered in mosques on Bakrid. After this Male Goat was sacrificed. The meat is divided into three parts. Out of this, one part is given to the poor while the other part is given to friends and relatives, and the third part is kept for family.
Like Mithi Eid, Bakrid is also celebrated with joy, the only difference between Eid-ul-Fitr and Bakrid is that Eid-ul-Fitr is seen as happiness, is celebrated as a gift of Ramadan and eid- Ul-Adha means Bakrid is celebrated for donating the poor and Muslims. The concept of sacrifice also means that the meat should be distributed among the poor so that the poor can get a one-time meal. After offering Namaz, sacrifice sheep or goat and share it with family members, neighbours and the poor.
Bakra Eid is celebrated about 70 days after Mithi Eid. Bakrid gives a message to people to sacrifice everything in the path of truth. Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated in memory of the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim. Hazrat Ibrahim had agreed to sacrifice his son Ismail to show his loyalty to the command of Allah. When Hazrat Ibrahim proceeded to sacrifice his son, God, seeing his loyalty, converted Ismail's sacrifice into Dumbe's sacrifice.
