Voting in Punjab will be held on February 20 in all the 117 assembly seats. The counting of votes will take place on March 10. Here we will tell you about the major assembly seats of Punjab, from where big faces are contesting and everyone's eyes are on these seats. The BJP is contesting in alliance with former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa's SAD (United), while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress are contesting alone. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has tied up with Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
Amritsar (East)
Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu is contesting from here and is facing Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikramjit Singh Majithia. AAP has fielded Jeevan Jyot Kaur from this seat while BJP has given a ticket to former bureaucrat Jagmohan Singh Raju.
Bholath
Congress leader and two-time MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira will face three-time Akali MLA Bibi Jagir Kaur, PLC's Amandeep Singh and AAP's Ranjit Singh Rana. In 2017, AAP had won this constituency by a margin of 8202 votes.
Bhadaur, Chamkaur Sahib
Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi is contesting from Chamkaur Sahib and AAP's stronghold Bhadaur. BJP has given the ticket to Darshan Singh Shivjot and AAP has given the ticket to Dr. Charanjit Singh. Harmohan Singh of BSP will contest from Chamkaur Sahib. From Bhadaur, Punjab Lok Congress has fielded Dharam Singh Fauji, AAP has fielded Labh Singh Ugoke while Satnam Singh will contest on Akali ticket. In 2017 from the Bhadaur seat, AAP's Pirmal Singh Dhaula defeated Sant Balvir Singh Ghunas of Akali by a margin of 20784 votes.
Dhuri
Punjab AAP president and party's chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann is contesting from Dhuri seat. Mann will face Congress candidate and sitting MLA Dalveer Singh Goldy. BJP has fielded Randeep Singh while Akali's Prakash Chandra Garg will contest from this seat.
Dera Baba Nanak
Punjab Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is contesting from Dear Baba Nanak and will be pitted against BJP's Kuldeep Singh, Akali's Ravi Karan Singh Kahlon and AAP's Gurdeep Singh Randhawa. In 2017, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa won the seat by defeating Sucha Singh Langah of SAD by a margin of 1194 votes.
Lambi
Akali supremo Parkash Singh Badal is contesting from this assembly seat. The 11-time MLA and 5-time Chief Minister will face Congress candidate Jagpal Singh Abul Khurana, BJP's Rakesh Dhingra and AAP's Gurmeet Singh Khudian.
Mohali
From here AAP candidate Kulwant Singh is contesting from three-time Congress MLA Balbir Singh, Akali's Parvinder Singh Sohana, BJP's Sanjeev Vashisht and Samyukta Samaj Morcha's Ravneet Brar.
Mansa
Congress has fielded popular Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moose Wala from Mansa seat. The singer will face Jeevan Dass Bawa of PLC, Prem Kumar Arora of SAD and Dr. Vijay Singla of AAP. In 2017, AAP candidate Nazar Singh Manshahia won from Mansa seat.
Patiala
Four-time MLA and two-time Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is contesting from his family stronghold Patiala. He will face Congress's Vishnu Sharma, Akali's Harpal Juneja and AAP's Ajitpal Singh Kohli.
Samrala
Farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal is contesting from this seat and will face Congress candidate Raja Gill, BJP's Ranjit Singh Gehlewal, Akali Dal's Paramjit Singh Dhillon and AAP's Jagtar Singh.
