This is because many services of the bank will be disrupted for a few hours on August 6 and 7. In this case, your work may get stuck. Therefore, customers should get all their important work done soon. In this context, the bank has also issued an alert to its customers.
SBI customers will not be able to avail the facility of Internet Banking, Unified Payments Interface (UPI), YONO, and YONO Lite for two hours. This is being done due to maintenance work. SBI said in a tweet that the bank will do maintenance work on August 6, 2021, from 10.45 pm to 1.15 pm (August 7, 2021). That is, you will not be able to take advantage of these facilities for 150 minutes.
SBI said that we request our customers to stay with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience. Earlier on July 16, June 16, and June 13, many services of SBI were affected. SBI's digital banking platform, including YONO, YONO Lite, Internet banking, Unified Payments Interface, was affected due to maintenance work in the month of May as well.
The country's largest bank SBI has more than 22,000 branches and 57,889 ATMs. The number of customers using Internet Banking and Mobile Banking as of December 31, 2020, are 85 million and 19 million respectively. At the same time, the number of customers using the UPI of the bank is 135 million.
