Film and TV actor Vindu Dara Singh turns 57. He was born on 6 May 1964 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is an actor and wrestler known as Hanuman in TV world. Vindu, has worked in TV serials and films, but has failed to gain popularity like his father i.e. Dara Singh.
Vindu made his Bollywood entry as an actor in the film 'Karan' (1994), but could not do any good at the box office. He then worked in his father's directorial film Rab Diya Rakhaan (1996). Vindu has done many Bollywood films till now, such as 'Garv', 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya', 'Partner' and 'Housefull', most of which he has worked as a supporting star.
Vindu married actress and Tabu's sister Farah Naaz in 1996, but both got divorced in 2002. The two also have a son, named Fateh Randhawa. After the end of his relationship with Farah, she married model Dina Umarova and is now living a happy life.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Vindu has also played the role of Hanuman on TV. He played this role in the Star Plus show 'Jai Veer Hanuman'. On TV, he has played in shows like 'Mrs. Kaushik's Five Bahuyan', 'Shhshh Koi Hai', 'Karma' and 'Black'. Apart from this, he has also appeared in reality shows like 'Maa Exchange', 'Welcome: Baazi Atith Nawaji Ki' and 'Bigg Boss'. In 2009, he won the third season of 'Bigg Boss'.
Vindu has seen many ups and downs in his life and career. His name has sprung up in controversies many times. While he was taking part in 'Bigg Boss' as a contestant, he had a fierce fight with Sherlyn Chopra and Bakhtiyar Irani, which was very much discussed. In 2013, when the IPL spot-fixing case came to light, Vindu was arrested on suspicion of having links with the bookies.
