Oil marketing companies have not made any changes in the price of petrol and diesel on Wednesday, the third business day of the week. A day earlier, on Tuesday, the oil companies had cut the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai by 16 paise and in Chennai by 17 paise per liter. Talking about the price of diesel, it was reduced by 21 paise in Delhi and Kolkata, 22 paise in Mumbai and 23 paise in Chennai.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai remains the same at Rs 74.82, Rs 77.42, Rs 80.42 and Rs 77.72 per liter respectively. Similarly, the price of diesel in the four metros is also stable at Rs 68.05, Rs 70.41, Rs 71.35 and Rs 71.90 per liter, respectively, without any change.

Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the international market remained soft for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. The March contract of Brent crude, the benchmark on the international futures market Intercontinental Exchange, ie ICE, was at $ 64.39 a barrel, down 0.31 percent from the previous session. At the same time, the March delivery contract of the American light crude West Texas Intermediate, or WTI, was at $ 58.13 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, or NyMax, at 0.43 per cent.
