Renowned industrialist Gautam Adani has once again surpassed Mukesh Ambani in wealth, securing the title of India's and Asia's richest individual.
This information is based on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index 2024, which recently unveiled the list of the world's 500 richest individuals.
As per the index, on January 5, 2024, Mukesh Ambani recorded a total net worth of $97.0 billion, while Gautam Adani reached a total net worth of $97.60 billion.
In the global ranking, Gautam Adani secured the 12th position, whereas Mukesh Ambani is positioned at the 13th spot.
The title of the world's richest person continues to be held by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, with a total net worth of $220 billion.
Notably, nine out of the top 10 wealthiest individuals are from the United States, predominantly leading technology companies.
In this list, Microsoft's Bill Gates secured the fourth position with a total net worth of $138 billion. Similarly, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg maintained his position at the sixth spot with a total net worth of $138 billion.
Warren Buffett held the eighth position with a net worth of $122 billion. Jack Ma of Alibaba occupied the 50th position with a total net worth of $29 billion.
