If you have an account with the country’s largest bank, you may face UPI service issues for two days in the month of November, as the UPI service will not be operational for a short period.
However, it will be restored to normal functionality after these hours. All other services, both online and offline, will remain available. This information was provided on HDFC Bank’s website.
HDFC Bank announced that its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) service will be temporarily unavailable on November 5 and November 23, 2024, for system maintenance.
According to the bank’s website, the service will be down for 2 hours on November 5 and for 3 hours on November 23. The bank stated that this maintenance is essential to improve your banking experience.
November 5, 2024, from 12:00 AM IST to 2:00 AM IST (2 hours)
November 23, 2024, from 12:00 AM IST to 3:00 AM IST (3 hours)
During this period, several services will be unavailable for customers. UPI transactions, both financial and non-financial, will not be possible on current and savings accounts or RuPay credit cards.
This applies to all account holders using the HDFC Bank UPI handle on platforms like the HDFC Mobile Banking App, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, MobiKwik, and Credit.Pay.
Additionally, all UPI transactions for merchants acquired by HDFC Bank will also be suspended.
The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a smartphone-enabled fund transfer system that allows bank customers to make payments or receive money using a UPI ID.
You can view your previous transactions under the "Transaction History" tab in the "UPI Payment" section. This information will also be visible in net banking and bank statements.
