Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of IT company Infosys Nilanjan Roy has resigned. His exit from the company will be effective from March 31, 2024. The IT services company has announced the appointment of Jayesh Sangharajka as the new CFO from April 1, replacing Nilanjan Roy.
Nilanjan Roy was holding the post of CFO of the company since 2018. Roy's resignation comes at a time when the number of top-level exits is increasing at Infosys as well as its other Tier-I IT services peers. Earlier, former presidents Ravi Kumar S and Mohit Joshi had resigned from the company.Nilanjan Roy was holding the post of CFO of the company since 2018. Jayesh Sangharajka has been working at Infosys for more than 18 years during his two tenures. Earlier he worked in the company from 2000 to 2007. Then he is working with the company from December 2012 till now.
Jayesh has played many leadership roles in the company. He is currently working as the Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer (since October) of the company. He has more than 25 years of work experience and is a Chartered Accountant.
Commenting on Jayesh's appointment, Salil Parekh, CEO and MD, Infosys, said, 'I am pleased to announce that Jayesh Sangharajka will take over as Chief Financial Officer. As Deputy CFO, he has been leading multiple portfolios in the Finance function for many years. His experience will help us in taking this work to greater heights.
