Indian bike maker Royal Enfield has unveiled its first electric concept bike at the EICMA 2023 event in Italy. The company has claimed that Electric Himalayan is a new expression of sustainable exploration for the future.
This is an imagination presentation of what a future Royal Enfield electric adventure tourer bike could look like. The company said that the design team's focus is on creating a bike that reduces stress on the rider as well as the environment.
The company has redesigned the overall package of the electric adventure tourer bike with a new battery pack, which acts as the main structural element. The company claims to have created a generic design and incorporated new materials like organic flax fiber composite bodywork.
The electric Himalayan features a golden USD fork, which will be a first for a Royal Enfield bike. It also gets two adjustable Ohlins gas-charged monoshocks. For braking, disc brakes are available in both the tyres.
The company has not revealed any specifications of the electric Himalayan bike. In the coming few years, the company will introduce a production ready variant of the bike. At the event, the company also said that it will introduce many new concepts in the next few months.
The Exhibition of International Motorcycle and Accessories (EICMA) is one of the largest bike shows in the world. It is organized every year in Milan, Italy, which lasts for about 6 days. The event, which started from November 7 this year, will continue till November 12, 2023. Bike maker companies from all over the world are participating in this.
