The stock market opened with gains on the third trading day of this week. Today Sensex opened 125.84 points and Nifty up 26.2 points. Out of 14 companies included in BSE Power Sector, 10 companies have gains in their shares. Adani Power's stock is up 9.22%. Earlier on Tuesday, the markets closed with a fall. The Sensex closed 52.94 points down at 52,275.57. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 15,740.10, down 11.55 points.
Japan's Nikkei index is trading down 51 points at 28,912.
China's Shanghai Composite Index gained 12 points at 3,592.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index is trading 49 points higher at 28,822.
Korea's Kospi index has come down by 6 points to 3,241.
Australia's All Ordinaries Index is down two points at 7,540.
On Tuesday, the US markets closed with volatility. The Dow Jones was down 30.42 points at 34,599.80, down 0.09%. The Nasdaq gained 0.31% to close at 13,924.90, up 43.19 points. The S&P 500 index was up 0.74 points at 4,227.26. Here the markets of France closed with gains and those of Germany declined.
According to provisional data available on the NSE, on June 8, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1,422.71 crore and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) worth Rs 1,626.98 crore. On Friday, the Sensex closed 52 points down at 52,275. At the same time, Nifty closed down 11 points at 15,740.
