The market opened strongly today i.e. on Wednesday. Sensex opened at 54,730.65 and Nifty at 16,327.30. At present, the Sensex is trading 105 points down at 54,450 and the Nifty is up 26 points at 16,253.
Out of 30 stocks of Sensex, 10 stocks are trading with gains and 20 stocks are trading in the red mark. In which the shares of Tata Steel are trading with a gain of 2%. Bajaj Auto's share is the biggest loser of 1.50%.
The market is getting support from metal stocks. The metal index on the NSE is trading with a gain of more than 2%. Jindal Steel's stock is up more than 4% in the index, Hindalco and Vedanta's shares are up more than 3%. Selling is being seen in pharma, realty and auto stocks.
2,412 shares are being traded on BSE. In which 999 are trading with an increase and 1,335 shares are trading with a fall.
