On the third day of the trading week, the market opened at a new peak. Sensex opened at 57,763 and Nifty opened at 17,185. At present, the Sensex is trading up 80 points at 57,634 and the Nifty is up 30 points at 17,160.
There was shopping in the market. Buying continues in 20 out of 30 Sensex stocks, while 10 shares are trading with a fall. In which the shares of Axis Bank are trading at 810 with a gain of 3%. At the same time, the share of HDFC is down 1%.
2,093 shares are being traded on BSE. In which 1,440 shares are trading with an increase and 571 shares are trading in the red mark. With this, the total market cap of companies listed on BSE has crossed Rs 251 lakh crore for the first time. Earlier on Tuesday, the Sensex climbed 662 points to 57,552 and the Nifty climbed 201 points to close at 17,132.
Earlier, US stock markets closed with a slight decline. The Dow Jones closed at 35,360 with a weakness of 0.11%. The Nasdaq fell 0.04% to 15,259 and the S&P 500 lost 0.13% to 4,522.
