The trickery of the dragon has once again come to the fore. China was quietly building a military base at Khalifa Port in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). America has stopped it. The matter of concern is that even the UAE was not aware of this. According to Wall Street Journal reports, the UAE has stopped Chinese construction after pressure from the US. The information about the Secret Military Base has been received by the US Intelligence Agency from photographs clicked from the satellite. The agency has come to know about making big potholes to make a big building there.

Port is 80 KM from Abu Dhabi

The port where China was building its base is 80 kilometres north of Abu Dhabi. Here the Chinese company China Ocean Shipping (Group) company COSCO Shipping Group has built a large commercial container terminal here. China had kept this site covered for a long time to avoid investigation, but the US captured it with its satellite as soon as it got the chance.

UAE-US relations in danger due to China's move

After the report came out, the cleanliness of the UAE has also come to the fore. The United Arab Emirates has denied having any knowledge of Chinese construction. Due to this move of China, there seems to be a rift between the two old allies. UAE has started meeting with the US on this issue. The UAE has clearly said that they have not signed any agreement with China for the secret military base.

Biden has warned Abu Dhabi

China has started spreading its feet in the Gulf countries. China has not responded on the Secret Military Base. US President Joe Biden has expressed his concern about China with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Zayed. Biden told Zayed directly that Abu Dhabi's growing proximity to China could lead to worsening of relations with the US.
